Report Content:Zernike moments are generalized to transformed Zernike moments, and both Zernike moments and fractional order Zernike moments are special cases of transformed Zernike moments. The logarithmic function is introduced as the transform function to construct the logarithmic Zernike moments (LoZMs), which not only improves the distribution of the zeros of the kernel function of the Zernike moments to be relatively uniform in the [0,1] interval, but also avoids the numerical instability of the fractional-order Zernike moments in the vicinity of r=0. The results are summarized as follows: (a) The Zernike moments of the fractional-order Zernike moments are the most important ones in the transform Zernike moments. Experiments show that the logarithmic Zernike moments have better performance than the Zernike moments and fractional-order Zernike moments in image reconstruction and pattern recognition, and the logarithmic Zernike moments are also used for image zero watermarking.
Reporter Introduction:Professor of School of Mathematics and Statistics, Nanjing University of Information Engineering (NUIE). He received his master's degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1996, and his PhD degree from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2005. His main research interests are pattern recognition and numerical computation. In recent years, he has published academic papers in IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, Pattern Recognition and other journals, and has presided over the completion of two National Natural Science Foundation of China.
