Overview:Induction and induction are two basic ideas that people use to deal with problems, and discrete optimization problems are widely found in our production and life. In this report, we will briefly introduce some discrete optimization problems, and illustrate how to use the ideas of induction and induction for algorithm design and mathematical applications by giving examples.
Speaker Introduction: Changhong Lv is a professor and dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences, East China Normal University, and a selected candidate for the National High-level Talent Program. He is mainly engaged in theoretical and applied researches in the graph theory and discrete optimization. In 2020, he won the Special Prize of Shanghai Scientific and Technological Progress and Xiao Shutie Applied Mathematics Award, and in 2021, he was awarded the First Mathematical Landing Achievement Award of CSIAM and Huawei's Outstanding Technical Achievement Award. Now he is the executive director of Chinese Mathematical Society, the executive director of China Industrial and Applied Mathematics, the vice president of Shanghai Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and the vice president of Shanghai Operational Research Society.
